Using theses

Available to the public via the academic institutional repository (C-RECS)

The full texts of theses for which the University of Electro-Communications awarded doctoral degrees from December 2006 onward and for thesis summaries from the 2005 school year onward are available to the public on C-RECS (excluding those texts and summaries for which consent for public disclosure was not granted).

Using original manuscripts

Doctoral theses the University of Electro-Communications awarded degrees for up to the 2012 school year are located in theJapanese journal stack room on the first floor. Please be aware that the following restrictions, based on the Japanese Copyright Act, apply to the usage of original manuscripts of doctoral theses.

- Original manuscripts may not be taken out of the library
- As a general rule, copying of original manuscripts requires the consent of the copyright holder.

 

Using master’s theses

Available to the public via C-RECS

The texts of theses for which the University of Electro-Communications awarded master’s degrees from April 2012 onward and the Japanese texts of summaries for theses for which master’s degrees were awarded from April 2003 onward are available to the public on C-RECS (excluding those texts and summaries for which consent for public disclosure has not been granted).

Using original manuscripts

Master’s theses for which the University of Electro-Communications awarded degrees that were donated to the library are located in the Japanese journal stack room on the first floor.
Please be aware that the following restrictions, based on the Japanese Copyright Act, apply to the use of original manuscripts of doctoral theses:
- Original manuscripts may not be taken out of the library
- As a general rule, copying of original manuscripts requires the consent of the copyright holder.
