About 27,000 books of humanities and sociology are available. Call number with 000-399 and 600-799 on west side of the 3rd floor, and 800-999 on east side. All books are arranged in ascending order by their call numbers.
About 15,000 books in Western languages are available. All books are arranged in ascending order by their call numbers. Some series of books[*1] are placed together in far west side of the area. [*1] ex.) Graduate Texts in Mathematics, Lecture Notes in Computer Science, Springer Series, etc.
There are large books about art, photographs, and so on. They are not allowed to borrow, only available to read in the library.
Books that introduce Japanese language and culture are arranged.
Books for studying TOEIC, TOEFL are mainly arranged in this area. Also, there are books to learn French, German, Chinese, Korean, and so on. Dictionaries in this area are allowed to borrow.
Texts of the Open University of Japan Foundation are arranged in ascending order by their call numbers (000-999).
There are so-called reference books such as data collection, handbooks, dictionaries, etc. They are only available for viewing inside the library so you can not borrow them, but you can make a copy on the copying machine inside the library.

A soundproof room to watch AV materials for small group. For more details, please check here.
A desk light, a thernet wall jack and an outlet are installed on each desk in personal booth section. Please use there when you want to concentrate on studying.
There are a lot of tables for 4 persons.Please refrain from talking here.
Terminals of the Information Infrastructure Center is set up, and you can use the education system with your UEC account. If you print any materials, they are outputted from a printer on the 3rd floor's computer room.
Magazines for studying languages such as Times, Newsweek, etc. are available.
Subscribed newspapers are as follows. Only the Japan Times is an English newspaper.
Newspaper of the day (or the latest) is on the front board of the rack. Evening publication comes out around 5 pm. When raising the front board of the newspaper rack, the back numbers for about one month are stored. Newspapers of two month ago are in the shelf which is next to the rack. For more previous papers, please use the reduced-size version. Yomiuri and Nikkei's reduced-size editions are in the stack room on the 1st floor.
